The rich young ruler in Mark 10:17-27 came to the right person—Jesus. He came at the right time—when he was young. He came with the right energy—he ran up to Jesus. He came with the right attitude—he humbled himself by kneeling before Christ. And he asked the right question—about his eternal destiny.  Jesus responded by listing the Commandments, but the one command He omitted tells a lot about the rich young ruler’s true priorities. As Pastor Dudley Rutherford explains, Jesus will always probe your heart to expose any competing gods. God gives you the freedom to choose for yourself, to either make Jesus Lord, or to reject Jesus as Lord…It’s your choice.
